 Closing our Friday night screenings is The Parallax View, selected for the festival by critic and film essayist Matt Zoller Seitz. When I spoke to Matt initially he described how he had recently become obsessed with the film rewatching its central montage sequence at least once or twice a day. He described it then as 'pure cinema' and it is the perfect way to end our first full day of screenings, a brilliantly constructed political thriller and an overlooked classic. |
