Christmas at Killruddery – Childrens Theatre

November 9th, 2010

Sunday 19th December

In the Library of Killruddery House

Presenting: THE PAPER PRINCESS  by Monkeyshine Theatre

Monkeyshine26

A Paper Princess is based on a book by Elisa Klevin. You are invited to a Christmas party!  A tiny theatre, a magical story, a little Girl whisked away by a gust of wind into a beautiful world made of paper, lit by tiny theatre lights and accompanied by live music and sound-scapes.

This Christmas party will begin in our Studio. Children will be encouraged to make their very own sparkling paper prince or princess, which will later be incorporated into the story.  From there, a (not too long) musical trail will lead them through the gardens and into the Library, to the toy theatre.

This is an enchanting theatre experience for children of 3 yrs and up.

Times: Starting at 2pm and again at 4pm

Duration approximately 40 min

Tickets cost €10.

TO BOOK:

T: William Kinsella on 087 4198674 or E: williamkinsella@killruddery.com

The Gardens will be open from 10 till 5 . Santa and Mrs Claus will be taking the day off  from  a gruelling work schedual to relax and enjoy the day, they will be talking to little visitors, welcoming them,  seeing the beautiful sites of Killruddery Gardens in Mid Winter.   A special Killruddery Christmas Cafe will be open in the Orangery making up for the cold by serving hot soup, venison stew, mulled drinks, steaming puddings and lovely cakes. As part of the celebration, there will be a Christmas Market in the Orangery where you can buy some last minute gifts. With an “Irish, traditional and homemade” theme, the market will have something for everyone: Wicklow food hampers and Killruddery chopping boards for friends,  silver jewellery for mums and sisters, Christmas beer from Tipperary’s finest microbrewery for dads and boyfriends, and handwoven Irish scarves and Killruddery Chutney for the grandparents.
